Biography

Harry Burt has studied Climate Change and Global Warming for some years and has developed an extensive knowledge of the theories and practical application of Renewable Energy Technologies including heat pumps, wind turbines, solar capture, hydro and biomass. Harry’s interest in energy conservation followed a 25 year career in the Construction Industry where he rose to Director level with major national UK companies. Latterly he specialised in the development of high performance buildings using the latest energy conservation techniques. He has been directly involved in energy conservation projects in many parts of the world including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, France, Canada, USA, China and the Falkland Islands. He is the Scottish based UK associate for Thermo Kft which is based in Budapest, Hungary. A group of specialists with activities in Sweden, Germany, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. The grouping is involved in highly specialised energy conservation projects across Europe and beyond. Examples of past projects include utilisation of natural and renewable energy resources to produce useable heat from many sources including from the sea around our shores, from dairy cows, from canal networks and generally from geothermal borehole systems, including high grade thermal response testing. The experience he has gained in Renewable Energy Technologies has produced a wide ranging approach to the provision of efficient and effective energy sourcing.
